Well that's fine!

Holy crap do Hemmingway and King kinda have it right. Or do they have it write? Haha wordplay. Now, I like to think of myself as an articulate person, but for some reason this shit is so much easier after a couple of beers and having Josh pour me some shots.

Actually the last couple weeks have been pretty great for this sort of shit. Like communication. For the most part. Still, when talking to certain women it's like we're trying two different languages. But that's not too much different drunk OR sober. It's just easier to get shot down when you're trashed.

Well maybe it has nothing to do with being trashed or sober. This week has been pretty great. It's funny how inspiration and motivation come from fucking nowhere. Well more like slightly irritating cause that would be great if you could nail that down on command. But still very nice.

But usually I get motivated to do things or improve myself at work. If anyone was looking for the secret of why I stay there even though most days I hate it, here it is. There is always something that keeps me wading through all the shit, something I can get excited about or interested in. (well financial security plays a big part there too, lets be honest here) But my work/life balance has been leading towards work for the longest time. Well not so much anymore. And it feels so much better.

This week work was so crappy and pfftttttt. ( I hate how I keep track of how long it is between people crying on my line. Why does that have to be a thing?) But since I'm actually happy with the stuff going on outside of work, I can still come home smiling and humming whatever song is on my playlist when I walk in the door. The crappy part is I know it's not going to last (it never does) but damn it feels good.

But at the moment, poetry again! And working on stuff at home that isn't for work! Random drinking with people! Stupid pictures! Special lasagna! I actually slept twice this week! And stuff in the works! Stuff that might carry me on through the next couple week! Holy balls! Weird coincidences!

That's me.I peed everywhere tonight. It's a guy thing.

They really don't.

The other day at work one of the little old ladies on the packing line asked me to lift up some boxes for her.  As a big, strong, young man (laadddiiiiieeeesss) of course I helped her out. The rule at work is if someone asks you to lift something, you fucking help. And it was a nice little old lady who's nice to me. The boxes were rather heavy, but I'm superhero (laaaaddddddiiiieeeesss) and it was no problem at all.

However.

Coming back from my break I see her carrying the same boxes, one under each freaking arm! And then I no longer felt superheroic. Holy balls I probably couldn't do that myself. Sweet little old Grandma lady played up being all infirm and grandma-like to get out of lifiting some boxes. She could be a ninja or a spy or some shit. I feel...unclean (That also could be the Taco Bell).

If that is your real name, "Grandma"

Does anyone think the words "testicle" and "vestibule" seem connected on some weird way? I need someone else to back me up on this cause when I mentioned it to the roomie Kate, she gave me that looks that make me think I am a crazy person.

AnD i MiGhT bE!

But I still think the words are oddly similar.

A week or 2 ago I had a great night out, but it kinda started in a cool way that's kinda been stuck in my head for a while. Dinner and wine. That's all. But it was awesome. I don't usually have a nice dinner with friends and sit around with a couple bottles of wine and just kinda hang out and talk all night. (and then a great rest of the night at a bar with live music, more drinks and dancing). I rather enjoyed it., I guess it's not something I've ever really done a whole lot before.

Say the word loofah. Loo-fah. Looooooooooooooofffffffaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Last Friday at work I was in the locker room and somebody noticed my shirt was on inside out. Didn't really bug me as we wear uniforms and such. Then somebody else noticed my shorts were on inside out. Now, this was slightly concerning because I've been dressing myself for years and I'd hope I'd notice something like this when I was putting the clothing on. What more's, my socks: inside out and mismatched. What.The.Fuzzy. Didn't even get dressed in the dark or anything. Weird.

Okay. Quick dating thing. You like a girl, and you're damn sure she's interested. you ask her out and she say no and that kinda sucks. You ask her friend what happened and apparently the way you asked her out is what caused her to say no. That is confusing as shit.

This one actually didn't happen to me.

Yet.

But it was a drunken story someone told me that I thought was kinda messed up. For all I know he asked her all rape-y. Still.

Anywho that's me. Titles for my blog entries don't mean all that much.

Where am I?

Tonight was an absolutely beautiful night. To me, at least. A misty fog covering the streets in just-nice-enough-to-not-wear-a-jacket temperature. A perfect night to walk home from a late night at work. (Also, probably a perfect night for vampires). I, blissfully forgetful, come down the street and see that the lights are on in my living room, and for a second or 2 I idly wonder what everybody is up to. I like coming home to people laughing, it happens on a pretty regular basis around here.

Well it used to.

I know I said I'd try not to complain too much about people leaving, but seriously? This sucks more than an inbred redneck trying to make sweet sweet love to a doorknob. I just don't like it. Brad left. Meg left. Kate left. Becca left. Corinne, Laura and Amy are all gone too.

I did have a great time this last week (minus all the possibly permanent goodbyes). All kinds of awesome people in and out of the house, Chotchy's Hamilton friends, Becca's gals from Toronto a very cool bunch. And last night was all kinds of awesome. You see Becca, Kate and I got all dressed up (I wore a fucking tie!) and went out to dinner and a movie. And on the cab ride home? A quick, unplanned, necessary detour downtown for one last night dancing (by dancing I mean doing the "white guy shuffle") at Vinyl. Awesome.

But I have an even better story about that night too. I ran into an old friend of mine, a buddy I haven't seen since high school. It was completely unexpected, and really awesome. We stood outside the bar for like an hour trying to catch up and the whole thing was surreal and mind blowing. It was...good.

Something else on the bright side? Pant-less Tuesdays are back. And by pant-less Tuesdays I mean every moment I can be comfortable sure I have the entire house to myself. So pant-less Tuesday is going to happen at a lot of times that are not really Tuesday. But don't be too worried, I keep an emergency pair of basketball shorts for when somebody knocks on the door.

So yeah not so happy with everyone being not here, but not terribly bad off all things considered. I'll do my best to make sure this trend continues.

That's me. Stay tuned next time for slightly philosophical rambling. And maybe more feeling sorry for myself, we'll play it by ear.
