Happy something something

Happy 2013 all.

Here is a list of stuff I want to do in 2013. New Years resolutions are kinda like asking Santa for presents that last a whole year. It's also similar to Santa as instead of cool Star Wars junk just magically appearing in my bedroom, someone has to go out and get the stuff. Hint: this time that someone is me. So here is a list of stuff I want that I have to get myself (which is sorta bullshit, so exactly like Santa)

I want to take over the world. However I feel like that would involve way too much paperwork and I loathe paperwork with the intensity I usually reserve for people who feel the need to comment when my socks don't match.

Instead my first resolution is to bother my brother by posting a bunch of funny pictures of unicorns on his facebook wall. In case there is confusion I should let you know that my brother is a unicorn. Hopefully I cleared that right up.

Muahahahahahahahaha

I want superpowers. I want them so bad you have no idea. If a genie granted me 3 wishes that's the first one. Kinda controversial since most people would be all "Dude! World peace!" to which I would reply "Umm nope." If I had superpowers I would be a super villain and world peace would just cancel out my bad-guy ness. This would also help with the whole ruler of the planet thing too. So win/win as far as I am concerned (for me, not for the planet so much). However exhaustive research proves we are a long way away from superpowers. So I'm slightly fucked here.

Instead what I would is to feel like I have superpowers more often. I got a Dark Jedi bathrobe for Christmas and I am of the opinion that this is a wonderful start, because I really do feel like a bad ass when I'm stalking my roommate's cats wearing it and they run away in fear.

So my next resolution is to buy more clothes that make me feel like a bad ass.

You em bear ass me. YOU EMBARRASS YOURSELF.

I like to write, but I don't really do it much anymore for fun. I mean I write at work all the damn time but that's all numbers and explanations and the odd doodle on the communication board in the oven room that looks like the both the ovens has come alive and is eating people. But stuff might be slowing down a tiny bit and I've stopped doing all the overtime that was driving me crazy for the last few months

So yeah, nothing clever and misleading, my last New Year's resolution is to just write more. I miss it.

That's me. Resolutions? ME?? What are you implying? That I need change?? Well buddy as far as I am concerned I am PERFECT the way I am! - Calvin and Hobbes

P.S. I should probably mention that I had a great New Year's even with a whole bunch of strangers. My orginal plans fell through and ended up just hanging out at home with a whole bunch of people my roommate had over. It was awesome! Even if Jay was there too. Cards Against Humanity may be the best party game ever made. Shout out to all those people that helped make my night awesome :)

Well that was something.

So apparently this weekend I had an unconscious desire to embarrass myself. I mean I knew I was going to get trashed, but not "pass out on a couch in the middle of the party and and then pick a bed get rolled off said bed and almost kick a bunch of people in the face while I'm sleeping in the middle of a bedroom floor" trashed. Somehow I did manage to snag a pillow though.

Nice move, drunken Sam, nice move.

Seeing Bird and Aubz, who I haven't seen in months, and motherfucking Chotchy who I haven't seen in a year, was great! And I am a big fan of randomly wandering Toronto. I'm looking forward to the pictures.

Alas I've had an all day hangover. Blargh. But my own damn fault. But still. Blargh.

Know what makes me feel better? I mean besides the awesome weekend catching up with people, making fun of emotional speeches, a Lt. Commander Worf action figure and more booze than is reasonable for a person to consume?

The realization that I can always tell if a movie doesn't use real dinosaurs.

The one on the left, totally fake. The one on the right is real, but only a stunt fill-in so he isn't credited.

So I really really really want to leave Guelph and move away somewhere. I want to so bad it's only a little bit funny. Getting up and leaving and doing some goddamn adventuring, maybe meeting strangers in a hostel and later escaping them in mad dash in a strange city in an attempt to keep my kidneys and my slightly used (but pretty damn important) liver in a terror fueled adrenaline rush in a story nobody would ever believe.

You know, fun.

But I can't. And it pisses me off so much. Fuck you, life. Apartment hunting blows.

In the meantime there are some changes happening at work....but I'm not going to get my hopes up that things will get any better. I just can't leave. I wish it was for a good reason, like superpowers, but it's not. It's cause I don't like being fucking broke. I have to get this damn student loan paid off. At that point, when I'm not giving away most of a paycheck every month to the government, I can just take off. But that's going to be like another year, year and a half. So fuck that shit. I just have to work less overtime. Except that if I work more overtime that's more money to pay off my osap. It's a vicious cycle.

Damn it all. I want to plane ride somewhere!

However I do still get to be me though, and that's okay.

Bwaahahahahahah, it's funny if you saw the movie.

I just have to be happy when I'm not at work. So weekends. Probably for the best if less passing out is involved in the future. But just as many friends.

And hey, maybe this way I can finally get a cat. Or 2! And have them fight over my affections like I'm some sort of twisted ruler of the universe!

That's me. I'm sorry life, maybe we can try to fulfill our hopes and dreams next year?

Yay Thursdays!

So I had a great time last night. Even if my pants are muddy from LDH's route through the university on our rather vigorous drunken stumble home from the UC after the drunk bus dropped us off.

I didn't even really want to go out last night as I've been rather under the weather and only getting through work with copious amounts of aspirin and cough medicine. But I was convinced. Boy, good choice! Even though I'm hurting today. But I learned a valuable lesson, beer = cough suppressant.

So I'm having trouble describing how I know all the neato people I know, but it goes something like this:
I'm one of the red lines! Maybe?

Okay so a bunch of people I know won the intramural flag football championship and they were having a big party to celebrate. So the roomies and I went to a house where some of the players live (who are known to us cause we're all couch friends) to pre-drink, and then to another house belonging to a bunch of people whose relationships to each other I was having difficulty trying to figure out (cause I'm stupid when I'm drunk) to drink even more, and then we made yet another stop at a bar downtown.

Make sense? Get it? Probably not. All you really need to know was there were a bunch of friends involved as well as a bunch of cute girls I introduced myself to, and we all got trashed.

I also learned a bunch of new drinking games (games that are apparently pretty common....) that involve spinning coins and putting ping pong balls into plastic cups sitting on other plastic cups. We also played some I've played before....but nobody took my word that I suck at flip cup and therefore eventually got banned cause I suck at flip cup.

Whatever, more time for drinking! Plus some dude brought tequila! I love tequila! Even if Channy asked me like a bazillion times if I watched her take the shot with me.

The bar was great (but it gets a bit fuzzy at that point) but my voice has got that strained low growl type thing going on that meant I was singing (read: screaming off key) along to songs I know, and my legs are wobbly so I was definitely doing the "white guy shuffle" on the dance floor all night. Good signs.

But I'm pretty sure I drunkenly talked about women again, not so much a good sign. But hey, take the good with the bad right?

Speaking of which,

Okay so the little brother introduced me to this...thing. I'm not sure if I like it, but it's funny enough to post here. Even non-metal fans will love it. Actually non-metal fans will probably like it more.

That's me. Work is gunna be rough. Worth it.
