Do it!

You ever try to apologize for something stupid that happened that wasn't your fault but you feel like you should explain yourself and apologize anyway? Damn but I tried and it didn't happen. Which is kinda weird cause I'm usually pretty good at embarrassing myself...but could not bring myself to do it.

Lately I feel like I'm waiting for something. But not anything specific I just have this weird feeling of anticipation.

I hurt my foot at work this week. As everyone knows ERs are not fun. I'm pretty frustrated with it. It turns out that I'm going to be dealing with chronic foot pain. I have a standing prescription for anti-inflammation medicine and have to whole list of things to keep on top of. It's definitely manageable. But it blows as just as I'm starting to get comfortable with the new job I have this bullshit to deal with.

Applesnarfritz.

Advice from the master.
I'm pretty terrible at keeping in contact with people. Just in general. I think it's something I'd like to work on. Hell, maybe I'll even start tonight.

That's me. Being able to light your hand on fire and bitchslap some douchefucker would be awesome. Flaming bitchslap.Nice.

Have you ever?

Have you ever watched a music video for the first time of a song you love? And then hate it cause the music video is the douche-king of douche-island on the douche-planet of douches? The song was better when I wasn't watching these douchecanoes sing it.

Have you ever tried to kiss a pretty girl while smiling? Hardest thing ever (that's what she said). Don't believe me? Try it.

Have you ever stubbed your toe, but not felt any pain? And then sat down to inspect the damage, watched a torrent of blood gushing from the flap of skin that used to be your toenail and THEN felt the pain kick in? It sucks.

Have you ever found an awesome shirt in your house? And then found out it belongs to a family member and he expects it cleaned and in good condition on his next visit? I hope it's within arm's reach the next time I visit taco bell.

Have you ever had a headache? And then went to get some painkillers and all you could find was that old cellphone that you thought you lost for your old service provider? Doesn't help your headache.

Have you ever gone to a friend's house after a night out at the bar? And then puked so much that your friend's dad had to get a carpet cleaner the next day? And that your friend's grandparents thing the cat is REALLY sick? I haven't. But I know somebody.

Have you ever won money on a scratch lottery ticket? And then mixed it up with one of the same type that you did not win money on? And then had the convince store guy laugh at you? Color me embarrassed.

Have you ever had a last day at a job you've had wwwaaaayyyy too long? And then spent the first hour of your last day apologizing to customers because nothing in the fucking store works? I danced my way out the front door when I punched out.

Have you ever had a long series of awkward moments with a girl you kinda like after you drunkenly make out with her at the bar? And then have her shoot your dumb ass down when you ask her out? Dating sucks.

Have you ever done laundry and found money in the pockets of your pants? Only to find out that you missed the bank information you were supposed to fax into your new job that was in your OTHER pants? It's frustrating. Punch a baby bunny rabbit frustrating.

Have you ever had a friend with a blog who inexplicably stop posting in it for a while and just as inexplicably starts up again?

That's me.

Yay Thursdays!

So I had a great time last night. Even if my pants are muddy from LDH's route through the university on our rather vigorous drunken stumble home from the UC after the drunk bus dropped us off.

I didn't even really want to go out last night as I've been rather under the weather and only getting through work with copious amounts of aspirin and cough medicine. But I was convinced. Boy, good choice! Even though I'm hurting today. But I learned a valuable lesson, beer = cough suppressant.

So I'm having trouble describing how I know all the neato people I know, but it goes something like this:
I'm one of the red lines! Maybe?

Okay so a bunch of people I know won the intramural flag football championship and they were having a big party to celebrate. So the roomies and I went to a house where some of the players live (who are known to us cause we're all couch friends) to pre-drink, and then to another house belonging to a bunch of people whose relationships to each other I was having difficulty trying to figure out (cause I'm stupid when I'm drunk) to drink even more, and then we made yet another stop at a bar downtown.

Make sense? Get it? Probably not. All you really need to know was there were a bunch of friends involved as well as a bunch of cute girls I introduced myself to, and we all got trashed.

I also learned a bunch of new drinking games (games that are apparently pretty common....) that involve spinning coins and putting ping pong balls into plastic cups sitting on other plastic cups. We also played some I've played before....but nobody took my word that I suck at flip cup and therefore eventually got banned cause I suck at flip cup.

Whatever, more time for drinking! Plus some dude brought tequila! I love tequila! Even if Channy asked me like a bazillion times if I watched her take the shot with me.

The bar was great (but it gets a bit fuzzy at that point) but my voice has got that strained low growl type thing going on that meant I was singing (read: screaming off key) along to songs I know, and my legs are wobbly so I was definitely doing the "white guy shuffle" on the dance floor all night. Good signs.

But I'm pretty sure I drunkenly talked about women again, not so much a good sign. But hey, take the good with the bad right?

Speaking of which,

Okay so the little brother introduced me to this...thing. I'm not sure if I like it, but it's funny enough to post here. Even non-metal fans will love it. Actually non-metal fans will probably like it more.

That's me. Work is gunna be rough. Worth it.
